Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) involves breathing pure oxygen in a pressurised chamber. This process increases the amount of oxygen your blood can carry, promoting faster healing and reducing inflammation. It's used to treat a variety of conditions, from sports injuries to chronic illnesses.
HBOT can help with a wide range of conditions including, but not limited to, sports injuries, diabetic wounds, chronic fatigue, inflammation, post-surgery recovery, neurological disorders, bacterial infections like Lyme disease, and enhancing overall wellness.
Yes, HBOT is a safe and non-invasive treatment when administered by trained professionals. At O2 Health, we adhere to strict safety protocols and use high-quality, well-maintained equipment to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients.
The number of sessions required varies depending on the condition being treated and individual response to therapy. Some conditions may see improvement in a few sessions, while others might require a more extended treatment plan. Our experts will tailor a treatment plan specific to your needs.
During an HBOT session, you'll lie comfortably in a pressurised chamber and breathe pure oxygen. Sessions typically last between 60 to 90 minutes. You may experience a sensation similar to the pressure felt during a plane's ascent or descent, which can be relieved by yawning or swallowing.
Most people experience no side effects from HBOT. However, some may feel mild discomfort in their ears due to pressure changes, similar to what you might experience on an aeroplane. Serious side effects are rare but can include temporary vision changes or sinus issues. Our trained staff will monitor you throughout the session to ensure your comfort and safety.
At O2 Health, our clients’ experiences speak volumes about the quality of care and results we provide.
